Karachi: 6 alleged militants killed in police raids

At least 200kg explosives while huge cache of arms was impounded by police.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least six suspected militants were killed in two separate raids while police confiscated arms-laden vehicle in Karachi.
According to details, police signaled a car to stop near Lakki Pahari on Hub River Road on which the passengers opened firing on the police personnel, injuring two constables Jamal and Sardar.
In retaliation, police resorted to firing and injured four alleged militants, who later succumbed to injuries during treatment.
In-charge CID police Chaudhry Aslam told media that the militants were driving arms-laden vehicle to Karachi from Hub, adding that all militants belonged to the Mohmand group of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.

In the second encounter, two alleged activists of banned outfit were killed in Manghopir. Grenade bombs, SMG rifles and rocket launchers were confiscated from them.
